1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using forexIQ ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. About forexIQ

forexIQ is a currency converter application developed and operated by Jeromie Fernandes ("we", "us", or "our"). The App provides live foreign exchange rate information and a camera-based price scanning feature for personal reference purposes.

3. Informational Use Only

Exchange rates displayed in forexIQ are sourced from third-party providers and are intended for informational and reference purposes only. They may not reflect the exact rate you receive when conducting a financial transaction.

• Rates may be delayed, rounded, or otherwise different from interbank or retail rates.
• forexIQ is not a financial advisor, broker, or money-services business.
• Do not rely solely on forexIQ for any financial, investment, or legal decisions.
• We are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on rates displayed in the App.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use forexIQ. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

forexIQ offers optional paid upgrades ("Pro") via Apple's App Store, including a yearly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase.

• Billing: All payments are processed by Apple. We never handle your payment details directly.
• Auto-renewal: The yearly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your Apple ID settings.
• Refunds: All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Apple will notify you before any price increase takes effect.

6. Permitted Use

You may use forexIQ for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute exchange rate data obtained through the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or services connected to the App.

7. Camera Permission

The scan-to-convert feature (Pro) requires camera access. Camera usage is governed by our Privacy Policy. All image processing happens on-device; no images are transmitted externally. You may revoke camera permission at any time via your device's Settings.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, and other materials in forexIQ are the property of Jeromie Fernandes or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features.

9. Third-Party Services

forexIQ relies on third-party services to function, including ExchangeRate-API for live rates and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

forexIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
• Exchange rates will be accurate, complete, or current.
• The App will meet your specific requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeromie Fernandes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, forexIQ — including but not limited to financial losses resulting from reliance on displayed exchange rates.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ₹500, whichever is greater.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
